A specific pattern is decided upon before each game starts, and when a player blacks that pattern out on their card, he or she calls out bingo and wins the game. Although the patterns can be anything, popular pattern forms include crisscross, vertical, corners and horizontal.
In the beginning, Bingo was considered to be a game for senior citizens. It was played mostly in old age homes. Today, family members of all ages enjoy playing; it has become a game for family night. It is very easy to learn and even more fun to play because there is always a different winner.
Bingo has become so popular over the past few years that games are now being held in all types of facilities. Churches and community centers have realized that this is a great way to bring people together. Usually there is a small fee to buy the cards.
